Terms of Use
The ground rules for using this website — including how donations work.
Last updated: July 16, 2026
Welcome! By using saddleupforhope.org (the "site"), operated by Saddle Up for Hope LLC ("Saddle Up for Hope," "we," "us"), you agree to these terms. If anything here is unclear, just ask — we'd rather explain than confuse.
What this site is for
Learning about our programs, applying to participate, volunteer, or mentor, and supporting our work. Content on this site is provided for general information about our organization and programs.
Not medical or mental-health advice
Saddle Up for Hope provides equine-based programs, mentorship, and community connection. Nothing on this site is medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, and our programs are not a substitute for care from licensed professionals. If a child is in crisis, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or 911.
Applications
Submitting a participant, mentor, or volunteer application does not guarantee placement, approval, or enrollment. Mentor and volunteer roles involve screening steps — references, background checks, interviews, and training — because the safety of the youth we serve comes first. The acknowledgments and releases inside each application form are part of these terms for those who submit them.
Donations
- Donations are processed by Zeffy on its platform; your payment details are handled by Zeffy, not this site.
- Receipts are issued by Zeffy to the email you provide at checkout.
- Gifts fund our programs, scholarships, horse care, and operations. Designation preferences (like horse sponsorship) guide our allocation, and where a designated need is fully met, we may apply funds where they're needed most.
- Made a mistake? If you gave the wrong amount, duplicated a gift, or gave in error, contact us within 30 days at hello@saddleupforhope.org and we'll make it right. Otherwise, donations are final.
- Recurring gifts can be changed or cancelled anytime through the link in your Zeffy receipt, or by contacting us.
Our content
The Saddle Up for Hope name, logo, photos, and site content belong to us (or are used with permission). You're welcome to share links and screenshots to spread the word; please don't reuse our materials commercially or to imply endorsement without asking first.
Other people's sites
Links to third-party sites (like Zeffy, Formspree-hosted pages, Google Calendar, Facebook, and Instagram) are provided for convenience. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices, which we don't control.
The unavoidable legal bits
The site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Saddle Up for Hope is not liable for damages arising from use of the site itself. (Program participation is governed by the signed agreements in our applications, not this page.) These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. If we update these terms, we'll change the date at the top; continued use means acceptance.
